First I would like to congratulate the Phillies on winning the World Series, however there was a lot of controversy this year in the World Series, fans could argue that Jimmy Rollins was, in fact, hit by that pitch in Game 2. Or, Jamie Moyer's flip to Ryan Howard did get there in time in Game 3. Or, Evan Longoria did make contact with Rollins before he got back to third base in Game 4, and add to it the whole postponing fiasco, it was a messy World Series, however that is the beauty of sports and when we look back at the 2008 World Series no one will remember the controversies all they will remember is that the Phillies won. Okay, people might remember the postponing of a World Series game mid inning, which I believe was the stupidest thing Bud Selig could have done, btw did anyone catch him at the press conference reading through the rule book? Bud Selig (steroids, no disciplinary action whatsoever etc...) is by far the worst commissioner of any league, though Gary Bettman (having a year long lockout, totally wiping a sport off of the sports map) of the NHL is a close second, fine they tie for first.
Anyway on the positive side, every year in the post season a number of young players step up their game and make a name for themselves and this year was no exception, you could say everybody on the Tampa Bay (not Devil) Rays made a name for himself but among them I thought CF B.J. Upton finally showed why he was the 2nd overall pick in 2002 (his brother Justin is pretty awesome too), SS/2B Willy Aybar played way better in the post season than the regular season, 3B Evan Longoria who was probably the best rookie this year, P David Price who now has won a game and recorded a save in the post season before achieving either feat in the regular season, and P Matt Garza who dominated the Red Sox in game 7 of the ALCS. It wasn't all Rays players though LF Jason Bay of the Red Sox showed he was worthy of being traded for Manny though he will never be as good, his rookie teammate P Justin Masterson was solid in relief for the BoSox. The L.A. Dodgers' 1B James Loney was also good hitting a grand slam against the Cubs (the billy goat curse still lives!) and so were a couple of his teammates, namely P Jonathan Broxton who showed he wasn't just a guy with a good fastball, and rookie Hiroki Kuroda who was 2-0 and unfazed in the post season. Rounding out this list are a pair from the World Series Champions, OF Shane Victorino who really picked up the offense as Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins were virtually non-existent, and last but certainly not least P Cole Hamels who won both the NLCS and World Series MVP awards and proved he is a no. 1 starter.
This has been a really long post :P
Much Love and Peace!!

Hey everybody!!

Hey! this is my very own blog where i will write my opinions and stuff and you guys can read about them. For those of you who don't know me (its okay i don't even know who i really am) I also blog for the Lupe Fiasco Show at the moment which is a blog about rapper Lupe Fiasco obviously as it says in the name, it's a pretty kick ass blog for a pretty kick ass dude (shameless plug lol). Seriously though go cop his album "The Cool" if you haven't already done so, 'cause the album is off the hook and if you like thought provoking music it's definitely for you so go out and buy it if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed. As for this blog I will write about anything and everything ok i lied that's pretty much impossible but it'll mainly be about world news, sports, politics, entertainment (all kinds of music, movies, dance, theatre, tv shows, and whatever else is considered entertainment lol). Also there will be a lot of content about the JabbaWockeeZ (winners of America's Best Dance Crew Season 1) as I have been a huge fan of them since I can ever remember. R.I.P. to Gee-One (Gary Kendell) the eleventh member of their crew, you will always live in the hearts of those whose lives you touched like mine, you will always be remembered and never forgotten and I'll make sure that when I dance that I dance with a smile on my face like you said I should. Well that's all I gotta say for now so stay tuned for more in the coming days.
Much Love and Peace.
